Emil is an 8-th grade student at the Mentora Gymnasium. In a short interview, he talks about STEM and fine arts, language classes and the weekly project days* at our school. Find out more in the video interview with Emil!
“Hello, I am Emil. I am a student at Mentora Gymnasium, which is a STEM Gymnasium. What does STEM mean? It means science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Additionally, we get art as a very important subject to focus on.
At Mentora Gymnasium we have two foreign languages: English and Spanish. We not only talk about things like vocabulary, but we also learn something about the culture of Spain and England.
Apart from that, there are Project Days at Mentora Gymnasium every Friday*. We go on an excursion or just learn about one subject all day from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and concentrate on the contents of this subject."
*Currently there are regular project weeks, instead of one day per week.
